Generation X in the United States
For some of this generation, Generation X thinking has significant overtones of cynicism against things held dear to the previous generations, mainly the Baby Boomers."
magnoliasouth rated 18 months agoculture, generations - Excellent article about my generation. There are some very interesting points made and while I agree with some and disagree with others, I was pleased to read this:
"Generation X doesn't suffer the 'Vietnam complex' fatigue of its parents and is more likely to identify themselves with their World War II grandparents in values, morals and practical living skills." Very well said indeed! The younger generation now though, would disagree I believe. However for those of us who are both educated and born in the 60's, we would likely agree 100% with that statement.
This was a very interesting read indeed.
nursetiny29 rated 41 months agoculture - Think you know your stuff? This will explain what a true Generation Xer is. I am proud to be a Gen Xer. I read someone's post in the last site that I gave a thumbs up on that I wasn't considered a Gen Xer...think again my friend. I am every bit a Gen Xer. Long live the Generation X. \m/
