AtlantaHoopla rated 11 months ago- Just got back from a visit to St. Louis where I stayed at a hotel right next to the Gateway Arch.
Four things I read a lot about while there: American Indians, the Lewis and Clark Expedition, the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial (The Gateway Arch), and Dred Scott.

ONCE FREE, ALWAYS FREE... unless, of course, there are nothing but all white men ruling the court... heh!
THANK YOU DRED SCOTT and all of those who supported you.
compuveg rated 29 months ago- I found this article interesting. Who would have thought a slave would even have money to hire a lawyer with? (Maybe it was a pro bono case) I also never would have thought that a slave would be living more or less independently, while his master was 1000 miles away.
Oh well, I got turned onto this because Stephen Colbert's mention of the Dred Scott decision at the Knox College Commencement. Stumble in a moment.
