Don't let that cute-wide-eyed-and-innocent avatar fool you, this woman is no token superficial bombshell. Nay, she is a bombshell of a different sort entirely. A socially sensitive sort that still hasn't forgotten how enjoy life, and that, folks, is very rare indeed. Her political... more

Can someone please explain to me...just how...it is humanly or stumbleuponably possible that I have never been here before this morning? ...More to be added later...Not that it matters, since I'm apparently the only person who does not know her and I'm not turning anybody on to somebody they don't know. But I am scolding everyone for not turning ME on to her. You jerkbags!

I have become an Ellie fan. The "Hair" post is what clinched it. Societal standards are fascinating to examine. You often see that as an element in science fiction which is most often just fiction about us right now shoved into a different time and or place with our tools and state of knowledge changed around some. I work for a particularly conservative employer, and I felt I had to ask if my current hairless style was o.k. On top of that I could tell that how some people behaved towards me changed noticeably after I started shaving the cranium as well as the jaw. If I didn't work for such a conservative employer, in a conservative field (accounting), I'd shave the eyebrows too just to see the reaction.

She's a champ (tiny inside joke). She totally is though, when we first switched to v4 I had family in town and I couldn't really even try it or GS and I was trying really hard to keep up on the changes by reading the forums whenever I got the chance. It was really hard to keep track of everything with such little time to read things so every time I got lost or had a question I ran to Ellie who was always more than happy to help sort out my confusion. She has been helpful in the past with pretty much everything SU not just this recent switch. I enjoy her blog VERY much. She formats her posts and uses cute pictures that grab the eye but once you start reading you are hooked. Ellie has a very original way of spelling out her thoughts and there is no shortage passionate opinion over there either. We have a couple key things in common that makes us good buddies, vast amounts of optimism and the ability to smell a rat/troll from pretty far away. If ever I have a question I know that if I turn to Elle she will do her best to help out. She is a good egg, that girl, I suggest you go check her out regularly. You will likely learn something if you do. Thanks for everything, "True Blood" sista :P

Do we have a modern equivalent of the Beat generation? ..Like the Ginsberg's, Kerouac', and not to mention the girls, the Patti Smiths and Chrissie Hyndes ?.. Some would argue we're all a little bit Beat nowadays, having absorbed plenty of the liberal attitudes and hedonistic ways they pioneered... And you could say the blog is the perfect Beat mode of communication: a chance to pour out your feelings and thoughts . .I say Elledark is quite like the Beat generation, although more of a `kinder' rebel spirit, with plenty of causes: writing, drugs, jazz, women, sex and spirituality and plenty more... Her blog is a must read!...
