From the page: "Economics, I always think, is rather like forecasting the weather - it's not an exact science; the whole system is just far to complicated to understand. Economists are still debating the causes of the Asian financial crisis in 1997, and no doubt they will be analyzing the crash of 2008 for decades to come. But by that time the economy will have moved on, and so will the stock market. Don't waste your time. I wonder if this is what Lynch meant when he wrote, `If all the economists in the world were laid end to end, it wouldn't be a bad thing.'"

From the page: "Many investors are pulling their money out and running for the hills. By the time they return, the market will be up and they will have missed out on a glorious opportunity, perhaps the kind that comes but once or twice in a lifetime. I can end with no better advice than, Be fearful when others are greedy, and be greedy when others are fearful."

Most people, economists included, have no idea what's going on.
