- From the page "This picture was taken 50 miles up a desert canyon in the middle of nowhere in the Chilean Andes, underscoring that when there's a will, there's a way. I'm writing this in a city in United States where it's difficult to recycle paper. In the town where I went to high school, you still can't even recycle glass."

- Obviously, I mean, of course, normal chileans, let alone rural people, are genuinely required to make an effort to recycle things! I mean come on, that's just judgemental. Do you need to be urban, or a hipster to to things such as recycling?

- until recently, they CHARGED YOU EXTRA if you wanted to recycle your garbage here. they don't charge anymore, but there are still only 3 very specific things that can be recycled: newspapers, aluminum soda cans, and plastic grocery bags. it's idiotic.

- Recycling paper and plastic are some of the worst things you can do to the environment. The toxic byproducts from recycling these materials is reason enough to not recycle. Don't be a lemming. Educate yourself.

- I see a picture but no story. Who set these collection bins up? Are they used? If it is in the middle of nowhere is there no road for a collection truck to use to get to these bins? Lots of unanswered questions.
