This sounds great...
"Why am I talking about beard trends on an eco-blog? Because not shaving every day is definitely low-impact: -Less hot water used in the shower or at the sink -Less or no need for razors or shaving cream (which often comes in those huge unrecyclable containers) -Hair on your face keeps you just a bit warmer outside- and in. Turning the thermostat down just 1 degree can save you 5% on your heating bill!"

For years, beards were shorthand for sandal-wearing hippies of a certain age. But no more! It's time to throw away your razor..

From the page: " [...] not shaving every day is definitely low-impact: -Less hot water used in the shower or at the sink -Less or no need for razors or shaving cream (which often comes in those huge unrecyclable containers) -Hair on your face keeps you just a bit warmer outside- and in. For the record, I have always felt it is hot and my husband has been sporting a full beard for quite a while now. So in essence, he's been hot for a long time. I knew that! While there is a recommendation for ladies not to try the whole facial hair thing (and I agree), don't forget that we can still be "hot" and "green" by not shaving, as well. It's winter time, ladies. Let that leg hair grow. It really does keep you much warmer.
