- This would be way too useful, protecting me from that goddamn boogeyman. I'd advise others to look into this. After all, wouldn't want to be unprepared.

- Wonderful or weird? This is meant to be a useful piece of furniture, a bedside table that can become, in a flash, both shield and weapon to beat off a midnight intruder. Really? I don't think it can be both furniture and weapon. How are you with bedside tables? I'll let you into a secret. Mine groans under the weight of books, the odd jar of cream and even beach pebbles I like the look of. What would I do to the burglar? Say, "hang on a minute mate, I just need to get all this off my shield and weapon and then, watch out, I'm going to hit you over the head!" I suppose I could fling a beach pebble... Before I stumbled on this site it had been tagged things like fashion and furniture design. Not for me. I call it bizarre.

If you ever have been woken up in the middle of the night by an intruder, the first thing you look for is a weapon. Now instead of looking for a gun, or bat, now you can arming yourself with your night stand. I think most transforming furniture is a good idea -- stuff that performs multiple functions with minimal materials makes me smile -- but this might only be useful to the more paranoid light sleepers among us. In that case we are all thankful that its not a gun they are reaching for."
