taoteh discovered 4 months ago- sometimes you need to know how to read braille. so here it is a handy, dandy reference.

TinaUK rated 3 months ago- Interesting in the same way that my recent stumble to the site about sign language was interesting. However, if I ever have need of this site, it will already be too late for me to read it.

- I'm laughing at the comments below...only cuz when I read "time to read how to learn braille" it's funny...we READ to learn braille. How fortunate.

stumbleideafarm rated 4 months ago- It would be useful for sighted individuals to show the dots in the cell that are not raised. One must remember where the capital dot goes (bottom right) in the cell to indicate the beginning of a sentence. Tip for sighted folk: to proofread Braille, use a strong lamp and tilt it so the dots cast shadows. Contact the Canadian National Institute for the Blind or institute for the blind in other parts of the world for more information or to find out how to get a slate and stylus to Braille your own material.

kirinis rated 4 months ago- I already know sign language so guess its time to learn braille
