- Okay, I think we can all agree that a bust made out of butter is impressive as a piece of bizzaro art but not so practical as a food, and pickling anything in red cordial is a very, very bad idea. Deep frying coke sounds like something you'd do on a dare, or because you watch too much Simpsons. Some of these ideas however are credible. Deep-fried guacamole is actually a reasonable idea - it would end up quite similar to deep fried camembert, which is absolutely gorgeous, because avocado has that waxy but creamy texture that would partially melt in the heat. And the deep-fried macaroni and cheese is a great idea - it's breaded in garlic crumbs and is actually not a million miles away from some perfectly standard Italian recipes. That's one I might try to replicate myself at home.
