While the electron is a string, because it is a fundamental particle (the least massive lepton), a neutron is more than one, being composed of three quarks, but the general idea is that the way the string vibrates determines the particle type...

Wow, if those were the winners, I feel sorry for the judges! At least they were short! One other thing: electrons are strings according to string theory, but neutrons and protons are NOT!! How in the world could they award the prize to a video that got something that basic wrong? Inexcusable.
