I saw this as a way of saying "Buy moissanite, I'm cheap!". Maybe that isn't what the writer wanted to convey in his message, but that's they way I saw it.You get what you pay for honey. Quality is neither cheap nor free. Ever hear of the HOPE Diamond? jeez April birthstone is "DIAMOND" honey, NOT moissanite, and I personally am willing to spend the cash to get my diamond & you better damn well believe any man that knows me well is going to buy me the real thing or just don't bother. *flies off singing* "Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend"

"Moissanites are a girls best friend.."? Sorry, just doesn't 'ring' and i am really going to get all hot over something even my spell check hasn't heard of. i have never been so big on diamonds but i have a feeling that if one is presented and the wearer told the truth, she will feel devalued somehow. i think i would too (if i wasn't so much more into emeralds) and ask any girl if she cares about "fire and brilliance". All she cares is that what is on her finger tells the world that he loves her.

Part of the point of diamond rings is their cost (and therefore perceived value). Convince people Moissanite rings are more valuable than diamonds, and they'll buy them. Until then, diamonds will say "I love you . . . or the world will know what socioeconomic class you married into."

We people have tried to make gold for eons [long time] with no luck. We can now however grow perfect diamonds for about half the cost.Another great 'bling'is this moissanite.

Please. I won't even get into why this article is ridiculous!

Good points. Diamonds aren't even that pretty...

I made this mistake once, but never again! Moissanite sounds cool, but I dunno if I'll buy one for the future ex-mrs me. As for what iTaradactyl said, she kind of missed the point of the article. It's not a good investment because the jewelry is so overpriced that it immediately loses value the second it's purchased and unreturnable. Both the diamond by itself, the gold (or platinum) content, are significantly less than the value of diamonds and gold on the marketplace. Even together you'll have to sell the ring at a significantly less price than what you paid in most every case. In other word: fail!
