From the page: "Paid for by Hillary Clinton for President"

That's all you really need to know about this site. It's designed to persuade party officials to twist the election rules to help deliver her the Democratic nomination.

And it's a transparently silly argument. The DNC decided to punish Michigan and Florida by nullifying their delegates months ago. If Hillary is so concerned about letting their votes count, why didn't she say anything about it until after the elections were held -- elections which she won? Interestingly, one of her own campaign people sat on the committee that voted to punish the states for their early contests. Now that Hillary "won", they're all trying to change their own rules, rules that were agreed to by all long before the elections were held.

Besides that, the elections that she wants to be counted so desperately were ridiculously unfair to the other candidates. In Florida, candidates were not allowed to campaign, so of course Hillary won on the strength of her name recognition alone. Only passionate campaigning on the part of Obama and his supporters wore down her formidable leads in the other states. As for Michigan, Obama and Edwards were not even on the ballot there. But even if the candidates were allowed to campaign in these states normally, the results would still be skewed because the people in those states were told that their votes would not count. Many people didn't vote that would have in a normal election. Hell, there were a lot of bored Democrats up in Michigan that voted for Mitt Romney in the Republican primary just to mess with the GOP race. You can bet that they would have participated in the Democratic election had they known that the DNC would allow their state to sit at the convention.

PS: There's no such thing as an "automatic delegate". They're called superdelegates. "Automatic delegate" is a term made up by the Clinton campaign to make people think that they're supposed to vote in a way other than they usually do (i.e., in her favor).

UPDATE: Some folks have put together a pretty sharp parody of the Delegate Hub site countering all its arguments. Check it out at www.delegatehubris.com. "Because let's face it: subversion is so much easier than election."

Senator, desperation does not suit you. If you win a majority of pledged delegates, with a majority of Democratic voters in the primaries, I will gladly and proudly vote for you. If you (or, for that matter, Senator Obama) do not receive a majority of the popular vote, or the pledged delegates, but win the nomination because of back room deals and superdelegates, I will have trouble voting for you. If you agreed at one point the Florida and Michigan delegates should not be seated, but changed your mind because doing so would benefit you, that is disappointing behavior and does not impress me as "above the fray" but rather just politics as usual. Surely you would support a revote in both those states, so that their intentions can be fairly determined in a vote with all candidates on the ballot, where all voters know their votes will matter?

I not giving this thumbs up because I agree. Just want fellow Dems to know the diabolical plan. If the SD change the popular vote, there will be pitchforks and torches.

A really worthless and biased site...it distorts several of obama's statements. And it is paid for by hillary clinton.

A paid ad by "Hilary for President" on a bogus website. Can you say, "Super delegate."

I have written to the Democratic Party itself at www.DemocraticParty.org and this is what I said: "I am absolutely appalled at the Clinton propaganda site www.delegatehub.com. The Florida and Michigan primaries were ruled not to be counted. This should go on uncontested. If Clinton wants to be president of the United States, she needs to do it without resorting to twisting election rules and campaigning AGAINST democracy. There is no such thing as an "automatic delegate". Please do not tarnish the great name of the Democratic Party by supporting Clinton's campaign to change the rules just so she can win. That is not the kind of candidate I want running for President. And I am not the only one who will not vote for Clinton if she continues this backhanded attempt at getting delegates." I hope that others will follow suit by writing to the Democratic Party and asking them not to compromise the rules of democracy because of one petty candidate.
