This is new to me: a group of former Born Again Christians who are apostate and proud. Is this a sign of the end times? The author describes how he was an "on fire" Christian for seven years and how he just left the faith. Check out reasons for and against under the "for Christians" sign.

Some of the content is contrary to my beliefs however it is classy and well written. Good to stretch the envelope and keep it fresh!

From the page: "Recently, with help from several folks around here, I put together a list of the Convenient categories that Christians like to come up with to explain why people leave the faith. Now, with help from several folks around here, I put together a list of the inconvenient categories that amount to the real reasons why we left. .......................................... 7. Everyone makes up their faith and their ideas of God as they go along. ...................... 13. 'God works in mysterious ways' or 'We'll get all the answers in heaven' are not satisfactory answers to important questions. They're code for: 'Shut up and stop asking.' -OR, as stated by another de-con¬- I took a Systematic Theology class and discovered all my deepest questions were answered with, 'It's a mystery.' .................................. 26. To be a good Christian you must continually defer your own judgment to that of a book as interpreted by your church." Thank'ee Alice. Even if there were a God, he most certainly wouldn't be what we've been told; Man created God to be His, the Man's, disgusting, not distorted but all too realistic, image.

From the page: De-Conversion "We have the answer!" "If you have any problem coping in any way, there is a quick and obvious fix. It is free. All you have to do, is just take it. Let it rule your life and you will be free. Compulsive thoughts? No problem, just pray. Depression? No problem, just fast and pray. Addictions? No problem, just learn a couple of New Testament letters off by heart. All the supernatural power outside the world is waiting for you. All you have to do is access it in this simple way. Of course, in former times we might have told you to flagellate yourself, but you don't need to do that these days. We have moved on. And we do have the answer."

Great Site. Lots of well written articles challenging religious faith by those who once had it.
