    Cannabis is an herbal remedy. It was used in biblical times too in annointing oil. It is much safer than alcohol. But there is much money made on the drug war.

    There are better ways to deal with the drug problem than locking people up in prisons. As an ironic note, drugs are just as available in prison as they are on the outside. I would rather the establishment treat problematic drug use as a medical/psychiatric problem as opposed to a criminal problem. I so want to write a letter to Mr Costa, and to Ban Ki Moon. It could turn into a 2500 word essay though, as I've read literally thousands of peer-reviewed journals regarding the herb, and have also done my own version of the Super High Me experiment in my youth, with no ill effects, I must add. Something doesn't ring true about the prohibitionists' arguments, and I really wonder about their true motives.
