From the page: "Scientist John Singleton insists that Albert Einstein wouldn't be mad at him, even though at first blush Singleton appears to have twisted the famous physicist's theories about light into a pretzel. Most people think Einstein said that nothing can travel faster... more

From the page: "Scientist John Singleton insists that Albert Einstein wouldn't be mad at him, even though at first blush Singleton appears to have twisted the famous physicist's theories about light into a pretzel. Most people think Einstein said that nothing can travel faster than the speed of light, but that's not really the case, Singleton said."

it's a trick. same way a laser dot moving across the surface of the moon faster than light is a trick. information doesn't travel faster than light, just the dot, the representation of the laser, travels faster than light. a person at point A on the moon could not use this to transmit arbitrary information faster than light to someone at point B.
