A piece of Depression-era history, an icon of the achievements of man, battling vicious rip currents so dangerous they were thought to be the final impediment to the prison escape for the country's most notorious criminals interred on Alcatraz Island. I fished for salmon in the San Francisco Bay. It's often foggy and chilly and gusty. Occasionaly they have to close the bridge for the sway. Thanks to Wiggy for posting the site on his blog.
