This isn't very surprising. I work as a tech for a company that does nothing but computer repairs and sells the occasional customized computer when an old one has finally given up the ghost. My store has had multiple cases of people getting so fed up with Circuit City and BestBuy's horrible service that they brought it to us to clean up the mess that their "technicians" had made. One occasion involved a woman whose computer had been "lost" for three weeks, and when finally "found" had the wrong type of hard drive jammed into it - SATA ports don't talk so well with IDE pins without a proper intermediary, but I guess you don't have to know that to work for these shysters.

I don't believe most of this. No, I'm not a firedog tech, but I'm a tech for my University's service for students (free too). I can assure you, those practices would not be allowed. One website hardly makes me believe it, besides, where are the sources? Any? didn't think so. Sure nice story, but it's not true.

This is a completely inaccurate, and biased article describing the functionality of ONE Circuit City store. I happen to be a Firedog technician as well, and most of this article is completely false.
