- Having worked at a bank for some time, this is more like an uninformed person whining than an informative anecdote about a man not getting his money. Maybe its the bureaucrat in me, but that information was given to him when he opened the account, if he'd prepared better, he could have made a cash withdrawal for part of the sum the day of, or before even, and used his card for the maximum limit. If he didnt prepare that's his fault. Save yourself some frustration, and just read that fuckin 40 page book your bank gives you, and stop bothering the nice lady. Guaranteed, if this jerk's card had been STOLEN, and someone went ahead and wiped him out for the entire 10 grand, he'd be a lot more put out than not being able to waste his money on useless consumer bullshit in the time frame he wanted. Point being- Get Educated, or shut your whining mouth. Side note: yes its scary the big bad government has control over your imaginary banking credits. but really, if its not cash in your hand when the shit goes down (end times, etc) what good will it do you anyway. bankers are gonna be the first ones to quit, we hate this shit.

- these are the kind of assholes who seriously pissed me off when i worked at best buy. Use a credit card or write a check and you won't have this problem.

- Kind of scary that they can set limits on how much of your money that you have access to at one time. I'm wondering how low they can make this limit and how quickly they can change the limit.
