This is more like ''Chinese History: the Cliff Notes version" or "Chinese History's Greatest Hits" than a full-fledged history.

    I've been reading a couple books on China - one called Dragon Rising, about the socioeconomic progress throughout the 20th and 21st century. Fascinating stuff.
