Very poor aerodynamic performance, incompatibility of power generated unless you put an inverter on every turbine, which is very inefficient. A nightmare to service and wind turbines very occasionally fly to bits... maybe not a good idea me thinks.

This is a good idea. People can't cry NIMBY (Not In My Backyard) to wind turbines if they already have power lines there.
