This doesn't look real at all. In fact, with the way the light is hitting his packing equipment, it looks like the tent is actually the outside view, with the bear 'Shopped in. Edit: did the research. This IS shopped. Here's an original of the bear's face: http://www.firstpeople.us/pictures/bear/Feeling-Grizzly-1600x1200.html. Michio Hoshino was also killed at night and his friends had to use their flashlight just to navigate to his tent.

A wildlife photographer's last photo. I can't stop looking at this photo. Not something you see every day. Also, I can totally relate to the impulse to point a camera at imminent death.
