New Yorkers getting offended? Since when? And actually the specific wording isn't necessarily exclusive with theism. One can believe in God and still believe that there have been virtuous unbelievers (google "virtuous pagan").As for the signs and billboards getting in the news all the time, I think they're just about as obnoxious as the pro-religious billboards etc. you see from time to time. Even moreso because, well, let's face it - evangelical atheism is stupid.

Stop trying to convert people. Atheism is not a religion. You shouldn't care how many people agree or disagree with you.

It's time for atheists to come out and stand up for what they believe in, or don't believe in, as the case may be.

As much as I don't like reading these atheist bus ads pages, I am ever appreciative of the exposure atheism is getting. I imagine closeted atheists, who might not suspect there are other nonbelievers out there, would be happy to read these signs - a breath of fresh air.
