Immortality discovered. Organism immune to radiation. Reassembles self after being blown to bits.

From the page: "Turns out, the greenish-orange slime was alive. The more it was studied, the more it enamored scientists who were fascinated with its ability to survive radiation doses thousands of times greater than what is considered lethal to humans." Absolutely fascinating.

Yikes... Don't let Caesar Bush's War Machine know about this, they'll exploit it into some form of bio-weapon and use it under the pretense of "national security", probably against his own people. Too late, there's already been a patent filed, http://www.freepatentsonline.com/7160715.html

Next step in evolution. I am infecting myself with that bacteria if I find it. Plus, I will take some enzymatic drugs to be certain that it is integrated into my gene.

So many places my mind wants to go with this one... evolution, longevity, extraterrestrial life, radiation proof data storage.

This is weird....This to me is further proof that life on other planets in our solar system has to exist....

And people actually question whether life exist in the Universe other than on thisplanet....Hello?

Quite the conundrum!

A) This is no form of immortality. There are plenty of organisms that can do this. B) It's not immune, but rather tolerant. Hence then name: kineococcus radiotolerans.
