Chomsky is in my estimation the most important public intellectual in the United States. Do yourself a favor and read his books. You will discover that you have been lied to your entire life. His books are impeccably researched and he backs up every statement with an overwhelming amount of... more

Powerful, well-researched and perceptive, Chomsky is one of America's greatest radicals. His detractors would do well to open their minds.

Were it not for Chomsky, I would still be plugged deeply into the matrix. As an academic myself, I am humbled by his intellect. Anyone can get a PhD. Noam Chomskys come along once every 3 or 4 generations.

Educating the masses on American's foreign tyranny. If it wasn't for Prof. Chomsky I wouldn't know about the abuse of Latin America and East Timor.

One of the greatest political analysts of our era. He says many things that need to be said by someone that isn't automatically labeled a "tin-foil-hatting lefty" that are otherwise left unsaid. His political writings are especially good because he researches them so much and even uses sources that are contradictory to his own political leanings. His opinions may be something you disagree with, but his facts are supported by both those who agree and those who disagree with him. So those who say he is usually "dead wrong" on his facts and figures should really come up with evidence that contradicts it because the overwhelming majority of evidence that is made apparent to us supports his claims (just as any hypothesis and theory should be checked for contradicting evidence). Note: I am not saying the man is perfect, but, really, to say he most of the time dead wrong requires something to back it up.
