When I was a boy of about 10 years of age, I asked my Grandmother to teach me French. I felt cheated that my mother had never taught me her first language. My Grandmother answered that the best way for me to learn French would be for me to get a French girlfriend. Alas, there was no one around that fit that description. In college I was learning Japanese from my tomadachi and from school. One of my lady friends recommended that to learn the language I should have a Japanese girlfriend to say Ohayo-Honey to. It was excellent advice that was readily accepted. Years later I see this ad from ChinesePod that advertises Chinese lessons. My thoughts reach back into my memories and I am glad that my lessons learned earlier in life have also allowed me to learn how to say Good Morning () to the lady I wake up next to every day. Perhaps the lady in this ad is looking for someone to teach to. Perhaps she is looking to practice the words Good Morning with. You never know.
