A fantastic intro to gnuplot. I've interacted with gnuplot, and an lot of my colleagues are deeply into it, but I've tended to use my own plotting routines. I'm still not giving up my own plotting software, but this has pushed me one step closer into the gnuplot camp.
This intro addresses a number of my concerns, where I'm comparing arbitrary data and calculations, want to be able to do error bars, adjust symbols at will, etc. The one area that I do use that was not dealt with here was the 'small multiples' http://www.37signals.com/svn/posts/266-using-small-multiples-to-get-to-aha usage that I've really grown to rely on, but I'm closer now to dealving further into the gnuplot manual (it can do small multiples) to figure this out.
