FYE stores here in the US will buy back used CDs, and they pay more if they're in their cases. - I don't think it is the largest collection of music, that would be the Library of Congress, they get a copy of everything( and I mean everything.)

I'm guessing this guy was/is anal retentive and kept them in the plastic, too, so they can process them as a straight return and you can get even more. I was told by a clerk that there's no limit to how many you can bring in, so just rip all of the CDs to a couple of hard drives (probably will take a year or so) and haul them back in to FYE. And please, as Jannell suggested, upload them to teh internets!

- Some of it might be good some of it might not be, but that much amount of albums has to be worth something right? All I can say is to whomever is the person selling this is gonna be laughing it up all the way to the bank.

- I'd like to see someone digitize the entire collection lol. Also that's not the worlds largest collection, I'd say the Internet houses the world's largest colleciton - the only thing is that it's the world's largest collection all in one place. Amazing and what a really low price - well at least low for that collection, they started at $3 million and only got that.
