If this is true, then go dad! The world needs more parents like this.

Seems like it could just as likely be a creative scalper making up a story to make more money off his hard-to-find buy. I know skepticism abounds on the internet, but I've had frustrating experiences with game scalping recently, so I'm going to take this with a grain of salt.

Wow. This guy gets 9,100.01 from selling his kid's guitar hero 3 as a punishment to show his son that he shouldn't be doing things that are be illegal. How'd you explain that?

From the page: "US $9,100.01" It started at US $0.01. 42 bids. That much money. I know Guitar Hero III is fun and everything, but really? All the coverage this got from web, and this guy made $8,975 after covering the retail price, from his son "smoking pot because he's bored". Good deal for the parent, bad deal for the kid. I guess he'll just have to go back over to his friend's house, get high, and play it there. And I agree, a parent? being a parent? YOU MEAN HE ISN'T JUST LETTING GAMES RAISE HIS KID? Rarity these days. Usually hear this conversation: Kid A: "I want this game" Kid A points to game, parent sees rating (maybe) Parent B: "I don't think you are old enough for this game" Kid A: "But I want iiiiiiiiiit! It's not even that bad!" Parent B gives in. Kid A plays game for a week, Parent B comes to check on him. Parent B: "WHAT THE HELL IS THIS? IS THAT BLOOD? DID I SEE A NAKED GIRL JUST NOW? WHO BOUGHT YOU THIS GAME?" Kid A: "You did." Parent B sues, says "I WAS NOT PROPERLY INFORMED THAT GAMES WERE NOT JUST FOR KIDS ANYMORE!" and that the game ruined his child's mind. *Controversy* *Game sells more because of the controversy* *Repeat* Though, this story is about kid getting caught smoking pot, and a parent giving a punishment for an activity that he doesn't want him to do, even if it won't make the kid stop smoking. It's progress, to say the least. At least he made some money, right?
