2.We're all stupid.
Seriously. If it is possible to specifically target cancer cells, I cry that no one thought about 'hey let's attach to the homing device something that hurts the cell'. There are a trillion things that can kill a cell, I can't beleive that the only one that seemed like a good idea was the radiowaves-to-heat way.
