it appears I don't share any common interests with myself.

This could explain why, whenever I talk to myself, I always seem uncomfortable and then make excuses or have something 'come up' in order that I can end the conversation and get away.

I was wondering why that was, thought perhaps I didn't like me, but I guess it's just I'm not compatible.

ah well

Just a note re people commenting on the 50K thumbs: divided by the 1787 days (as of 25th Feb '08) I have been a member of SU, that averages out at 30.1086 a day. Which is, admittedly, a lot (for which there are various reasons: such as that when SU was more a market town and less a metropolis in size I used to figure it only polite to pay a return visit to anyone who visited me, and [assuming they weren't obviously a paedophile, war fetishizing republican or something] damn rude not thumb them--after all what would it say of my opinion of someone's blog if I couldn't spare the fraction of a second and effort it took give them the penny-in-a-well vote of confidence that a thumb-up represents?). But not, I would posit, an entirely unreasonable of baffling amount.

I am cutting back anyway (honest, I can stop anytime!), no stumbler thumbing anymore unless they can provide documentary evidence that they have saved at least 5 (non-ugly) children from burning buildings, or were instrumental in fall of the Ceausescu regime, or ARE Aung San Suu Kyi.

Well, of course, Bunty is just ... GREAT. --- I especially love the point about collective (social) intelligence. If there is such a thing, hm hm ... then there might also be something like collective ... ***.. :)
