I'm going to nitpick about the CD player comment. The ball bearings may have improved the skipping but I doubt it. That's about it.

I Looooooooooove stuff like this. I have actually enjoyed watching compilations of TV ads from the 50's 60's and 70's. I also like print media ads in a similar vein: Stereos and TV's in simulated woodgrain cabinetry, and the debut of the astonishing "WIRELESS" remote.
