hmmm ... the power of intention ... re: PowerPoint, there is an interesting academic article by a NCSU engineering professor ... somewhere lost in my StumbleUpon Blog (or my memory) called "Death by PowerPoint"; title says it all. [that reminds me of one of my StumbleUpon complaints: that I can't index or search my sites; the old list of sites by tag seems to be gone ... or am I looney ... in any case ... a lesson ... I think ... for startups: keep the vision. Look at Saturn a "Different Kind of Car Company", GM's original vision was lost, and subsequent generations of management ostensibly did not grasp the concept, lost the vision and Saturn became just another car. Saturn is not even made any longer in the Spring Hill plant in TN built expressly to manufacture the Saturn automobile. Now that times are tight, gas prices go up and down, Saturn could be the car of the moment, but GM is trying desperately to dump it. No one visits my Stumble blog any more either ... is that me or StumbleUpon? Maybe both. I don't review sites, I tend to just make commentary, which may not be what people expect. The blog part of Stumble now seems to be transparent ... IMHO. Maybe I'm the one who didn't change with the times. Sorry for rambling and the ...'s ] -j

Impressive blog that is both insightful and highly educational, and from someone in the startup trenches who knows exactly what he's talking about.
