Not much fun to travel in the U.S.A., but I believe that some blame must go to Americans as a whole themselves. In France, people would be on the streets (and conversely there are strikes for the rights of workers, which while inconvenient, are necessary.)

Why is the bus station any worse than this? I'd have to agree... This is a rant worth reading if you, like me, are completely fed up with the system of air travel these days. I've spent way too much time on planes over the last few years not to have opinions - and none favorable.

Democracy is a privilege and not a right and I believe that Americans are not protesting sufficiently for their rights (from economic issues to transportation issues to political issues). With less than 50% participation in voting, is it any wonder that the government and corporations get away with anything they want?
