So, curiosity drove me to see this for myself. After going to google.cn I typed in "tienamen square" to see what would come up. Surprisingly, the first search result was a Wikipedia entry for the 1989 protest. I clicked on the Images link and pictures came up showing that protest. It was only then that I noticed Google asking me if I meant "tiananmen square". I clicked on that believing it to be the correct spelling. The new results didn't have the tank pictures or the Wikipedia article. So, to all the Chinese out there, mis-spelling words can get you around censorship.

Of course they do ,their was a huge media deal about google agreeing to censor to enter the chineese market
