Costa talks about why some blogs never succeed: "We simply refuse to believe the fact that if any blogs were to be successful, there is hard work to be done and great sacrifices to be made. We hope for a miracle that will never be forthcoming. And why do we behave like that? It all boils down to 1 core reason: We are too lazy and want a short and easy path to success."

It seems like all I stumble upon are blogs about how to make blogs make mega-millions in ad revenue or how to make them make me the most popular guy on the internet instantly. It gets tiresome, especially considering these "meta-blogs" are rarely even half as popular as the blogs they are supposedly teaching us to aspire to. So I came across this blog about people that won't go through all the insane (and probably ineffectual) steps of changing layout, content, and tenor of a blog to any extreme and as far away from original vision as possible in a desperate bid to get more readers, and I found it refreshing. However, I still feel like bloggers like me are left in the lurch. I'm not lazy. I'm willing to go through various processes to bring readers to my site. I don't really care about ads. I doubt a hundred thousand readers a month could cap out my bandwidth. I'm just an honest, genuine blogger that wants likeminded people to visit my site. Why are the only two options open to me pander to the lowest common denominator or simply quit? I guess I was hoping this blog entry would fill that vital third role.
