veganlover discovered 4 months ago- Oprah is going vegan! On her official blog, Oprah writes: "How can you say you're trying to spiritually evolve, without even a thought about what happens to the animals whose lives are sacrificed in the name of gluttony?" Let's hope she opens veganism to the world, in a good light and stays vegan for life!

How indeed, Oprah? I'm not a fan of Peta or their methods or their website. Hell, I'm not even a fan of Oprah. So the fact that I am giving this a thumbs up and reviewing it is a bit baffling to me. I don't agree that the fact that Oprah is going vegan for three weeks is the best news, ever, like the article claims. I do, however, think it's a great step and could potentially lead to something far greater. You see, whether people like me want to admit it or not, Oprah has a wide range of influence. People idolize and worship her, which the reasoning behind that are totally beyond my comprehension. Regardless, they listen to her. They take her advice. They do what she does. And if that is what it takes to get the message across, then so be it. Because I am more for the cause than anything. And if education through mass media whores such as Oprah is what it takes, I say bring it on.
