good tips to save money

Only some of these tips are really useful. Number 2 is completely unnecessary if you're following number 1. Number 3 and number 4 are not 100% true. At least I can say that from my own personal experience from many different supermarkets from Stop and Shop, Shaws, Market Basket, Tops, Wegmans, Roche Bros. and many more. The store brand is rarely as tasty as name brands. From a blind test (not knowing the brand, but eating the food cooked the same way) the more expensive item just happened to be significantly better than the ones that are even just slightly cheaper. Same thing with clothes, from my experience. Get a brand that's good, and it'll last longer. So not only will it not look or feel as good, but you'll end up spending more money buying more frequently for items that won't last nearly as long. DIY projects aren't always cost effective. Time is money. When you invest your time to do these projects, sometimes it's not better in quality and not cheaper. You should weigh your options instead seeing if DIY is really worth it. Number 7 is varies from talent to talent. When you want multiple incomes, you want something that can be done passively since you'll already have a career. Some of your talents may require too much time to invest. So it won't always work out as easy as is listed. Number 9 isn't quite as easy as that. It's not a habit per se. It's an addiction. Number 12 really depends on the vehicle. You can get a BMW X5, which is an SUV, with a mileage of 36 mpg. That's almost as good as a Honda Civic (40 mpg), and much better than most cars out there which get just below 30 mpg. Number 13 is highly variable depending on the situation. For me, in most cases driving is the only option you have. It's nothing in your control, it's just poor city design. Number 20: duh! Tap water is actually monitored unlike bottled water. I mean technically it's monitored, but it's not enforced. About 50% of bottled water available wouldn't pass inspection if they were done. Number 21 has many variables. For some loans, although you'll end up spending more, you may also end up earning more through APY's. Maxing out credit cards isn't necessarily a bad thing. Although it's kind of weird having one if you don't plan on taking out a loan... If your limit is low enough, maxing your credit card out doesn't mean anything. However, if you know how credit works, you would have a high enough limit, but you would also know that maxing out your credit cards is bad for your credit. So in that sense, you wouldn't be maxing out your credit cards anyway unless you were just retarded.
