proximal2u rated 2 months ago- Very few know how to debate. People take remarks personal or make personal remarks. You are making a point. It does take a very small amount of emotions. It is like chess. You are making moves towards the goal of others seeing/understanding your point of view and agreeing with you perhaps. Perhaps not. This site is excellent. Everyone should practice this even in marriages. In the perfect relationship, you can have opposing points of view. You debate them respectfully. One can debate passionately. You do not take things to a personal level. This is how you accomplish harmony. Sometimes others do not agree with your point of view. You agree to disagree after all points have been made and move on. Winning is not the only goal here. You open yourself to other ideas and expressions of those ideas.
