    I agree with buzban - I compare tattoos for art's sake to paintings and sketches and other visual art. And just as there are some horrible, ugly paintings out there, so too will you find horrendous tattoos. There is NO bad reason to get a tattoo - it's your body, so decorate/screw it up as you please. You don't need an excuse to express yourself.

    Just gotta disagree. My biggest tattoo was art for art's sake, and I love it. I think a fair amount of people agree it's good. Not every tattoo needs to be a tribute, passion, etc. Unless just plain good tattoos qualifies as a passion.

    Excellent insight on what to get tattoos of. Not telling you WHAT to do, but rather what to take into consideration when deciding whether or not you really, really want that tattoo.
