nenelabeet discovered 4 months ago- Pretty cool recipes and nice step by step guides to real food. Very nice.

CastorQuinn rated 2 weeks ago- When I started dicing the bacon, I realized I had grabbed the two-pound pack from the freezer instead of a one-pound pack. "Oops, too much bacon," I thought to myself. Then I realized how silly that sounded, "Too much bacon." Can you even use those words in that order?
An absolutely fantastic recipe blog. Most posts are recipes, though there are a good few cooking experiments and cooking technique posts tossed in for good measure. And as you can see, written in a really engaging and charming style. It includes some absolute classics, as well as - most interestingly - some recipes which didn't quite work, including an analysis of why they didn't work, which is perhaps some of the most valuable information there is here.
The premise is that getting away from fad diets, food fashions and yuppie eating gets you back to good old fashioned fare that's all about taste. That's a premise I can get behind. There's RSS for the technically minded, as well as an email feed for those of us that way inclined, and the dude has an ebook out which you can pick up (for a farily reasonable price) containing many of his best and most popular recipes.- When I started dicing the bacon, I realized I had grabbed the two-pound pack from the freezer instead of a one-pound pack. "Oops, too much bacon," I thought to myself. Then I realized how silly that sounded, "Too much bacon." Can you even use those words in that order?
