From the page: "On any given div, if you specify a width, do NOT specify padding or margins (and vice versa). Specify padding and margins on the elements contained in that div instead. Ex: leftcolumn {width:200px} lefcolumn p {padding:10px;width:20px;}"I love that tip.

Three tips for CSS: don't specify padding and margins for divs (apply padding to div elements instead), use Firebug and Web Developer toolbar, don't obsess about validation. I agree on all three. With regards to validation, make an informed decision, auto-validators are not perfect.

Hundreds of wasted hours? I wouldn't consider myself a coding nazi, but I do support standards and to me saying "dont bother doing things right" just sounds wrong.
