- "Oh no, not again". Indeed. But this time it's dead-serious. No matter what kind of trouble Flickr has gone through the last couple of years ever since being bought by Yahoo!, this is likely to end up being the worst of disasters to Flickr being a community driven site. Reading around the Flickr groups right now, the impending acquisition of Yahoo! (and, thus, Flickr) by Microsoft is likely to cause a Flickr user exodus more vast than even the censorship issue in mid-2007. Not that this is likely to change much, given a even bigger amount of new users attracted by a more "Microsoft"'ish Flickr, it is about to ultimately destroy what Flickr ever used to be. And, without that, without the "community" approach, Flickr is just a meaningless place where to dump meaningless images...
