- Thanks to the information from my mentor and "serigot father", if you will, Dr. Donald Bode' MD PhD, retired Ophthalmologist, This weird photo of an eye is just that...a weird photo. Look closely at the reflections in each iris. They are different. The eye definately has a contact lens in place. Probably what is called a Narcissus Lens. This is a "painted" on lens used in cases of severe pathology such as Aniridia which is the absence of the iris all together. There is no way a eye can have two pupils either! Great picture though!
