One of the hardest things to master in CSS is positioning (layout). It is generally counterintuitive, and the nomenclature can be confusing. This tutorial is one of the best I've seen -- demonstrates the different properties of positioning on container elements with brilliant simplicity. I've been doing CSS for years, and I'll probably come back here many times when I need a refresher.
