I admire this young man's wisdom and desire to help others. I admire his desire for Peace. I disagree with his stand on guns because I understand that it is not the guns themselves that matter - there is always another way to do violence. What must change is our belief that violence - even violence committed in self-defense - is the solution. Violence has NEVER led to peace - it can only lead to more violence. The solution is feeling safe enough to release our fears. The solution is love, non-violent resistance - loving anyone who would do us harm into peace. There is a brilliant story which illustrates this concept and how it can work at http://tommyschmitz.blogspot.com/2006/06/tokyo-twins-introduction.html From the page: "Guns don't kill people, people do. Thats why certain people should not have a gun. Gun laws [or should i have said "people laws"] need to be stricter and need to be enforced. But the laws need not to stop a would be hero."

In this blog you can find stuff about anything and everything. Nothing is off limits. The only theme that stands out is common sense. Interesting news, opinions, and politics.
