Old masters Art before agriculture and political, military power and religion. That is art under animism that went into ending when civilization started to grow its first roots some 6-8000 years ago. What is less clear is when animism started to grow its own roots, 50,000, 100,000 or some hundred thousand years earlier. Whatever the answer animism has been by far the longest period on humanity's societal road.
