From the page: "So you've stopped hanging out with women and started dating them. Consequently, you've found a woman who had become your best friend, and you know she is the one. Things have been serious for quite some time now and you're ready to take your relationship to the next level: marriage"

How to ask your future father-in-law for his blessing in your desire to marry his daughter.

I did this before I got married and expected any guy wanting to marry my only daughter to do it too! When the time came for her guy to follow through (she had already insisted to him that he do it), he balked. Soon, though, he invited me out to a nice restaurant for supper. My daughter had tipped me off that it was finally coming. I set about rehearsing how many hoops I was going to have him jump through (heh heh heh). We met at the restaurant and were escorted to an intimate corner table in a large dining area filled with people. He started with small talk (which is really hard for him, since he is ALL talk). He began to visibly sweat. He finally got around to talking about how much my daughter meant to him. I tried to act non-plussed. (Hey, I'm not going to let you off the traditional hook here)! He fumbled for a prop. Any prop. His agitation was visible. I was really liking this, as I looked around the room, trying to draw as much eye contact to the scene as possible! He squirmed in his chair, finally grabbing something from his pocket. I mentally played a drum roll. His shaking hand produced a blue velvet box. I turned slightly to the crowd and nodded. Heh Heh Heh! He flipped open the gift to reveal a stunning diamond ring. I gazed straight into his eyes, then turned to my crowd with a smile. Up went a big cheer from the approving diners! How charming! Two gay guys were finally getting hitched! Heh Heh Heh!

give a copy of this to your boy/girlfriend if you ever want to, dump them, see them wet thier pants, test thier coolness, or find out if, they really really want to marry you that badly.

How do traditional values die out that have such proper etiquette? Great read on asking the father for her hand in marriage.

Also, if her father passed away or was never part of her life... check to see if she has a brother that she is close with... chances are he'll be the one walking her down the aisle.
