I love these lists to see how many I've read so far. Not to brag, but I'm not doing that bad.

Overrated! CLAP CLAP ... CLAP CLAP CLAP! OVERRATED! CLAP CLAP ... CLAP CLAP CLAP! (With a few exceptions like 1984 and For Whom the Bell Tolls.)

I have some of these books but have never read them or started them but never finished them. Perhaps I will put some of them on my bucket list. I was suprised to see the Bible on this list. It;however, I have read cover to cover about twenty times. If I had to let go all my books save one; the Bible is the one I would keep. It alone is transcendent and has eternal and unphanthomable riches. It shows the only way of salvation. Read "Evidence That Demands a Verdict" by Josh McDowell.A treatise provinf the truth of the Bible and the Christian faith.

I do find the whole "great books" sort of list to be boring, but there were a sufficient number of books from authors such as Steinbeck that I approve of this list.

Interesting books, from what I remember of the ones I read. But I'm a little wary of any list of 'essential' books, especially when they come with the quick summery of what message you're suppose to get from them. In the interest of my sanity, I'm not even going to get into analyzing the site this list is on. (A celebration of masculinity? A mocking of the same? both? I'm not touching this one.)

    Seems like an interesting list.
