cookiemon discovered 21 months ago- You can't boot Windows XP from a floppy disk the way you used to be able to with DOS. One handy way to easily boot XP is by using a USB flash drive. Here's how to make it work.

- Neat trick... but if I want an OS on a stick I'll use Linux. There are just too many hoops to jump through getting Windows on a flash drive. Not to mention, Windows itself is not designed to run off of flash drives... the installation would take up lots of space that could be used for apps instead. Still, this is a good idea. MS really should make an "Emergency" version of the OS that can easily run off of a Flash (or CD) drive and include some useful diagnostic apps. I'm not talking about their "Repair" feature that runs off of the installation disk, but more comprehensive utilities like the ones found on Linux "recovery boot disks."
