 dap6000 rated 8 months agoliberties - in reply to Xzizor, the gov of course can't watch millions of people, but it can easily watch a dozen or so files on servers they control and log the IPs of computers requesting those files. its not even a bad idea if they handle it right (for example, giving the raw hits a bit of context by checking referrer headers in the HTTP request).
now how long will it be fore someone submits a bunch of these files to stumble?
